I just want everybody to know, he has a heart, man. He really wants to get it done, but we really haven’t put our finger on what it is that he’s doing. I mean, we haven’t put our finger on why he’s doing what he does. Great bunch of talent, but he’s going to get it right. Trust me, he will get it right before I leave here, and you’re going to see a different B.J.

Like I say, he’s going to be in my mind one of the best players to play the game. If he was a dog, I would sit here and say, ‘You know he’s the worst player to ever play the game. I can’t stand him.’ But he’s not that way. He’s a great teammate. He cares about everyone in here. It’s just every once in a while he gets caught up in … I don’t know what it is, but we’re going to get to the bottom of it."

Incidentally, there are rumors that the kidnappers are negotiating with Friedman's next door neighbors who live in a huge mansion filled with children who disturb the neighborhood. Andy may want to make sure that deal does not happen.

J-Money heating up.

J-Money started yesterday in LF. He went 1-5 with 3 strikeouts. This is showing though that J-Money will most likely get more time in LF for the rest of the season. I believe this is because J-Money is going to be an addition during the September call ups. The experience J-Money will bring is valuable and his speed makes up for any of his hitting woes. J-Money da King and Savior will soon be in Tampa!

Upton's a Disgrace

It's sad enough when a player is called out, and essentially suspended for something that takes no talent whatsoever--hustle. What about when it happens twice...not just within a season, which is also pathetic, but how about in a short span, in less than a month? Upton's behavior and total lack of respect for the game itself is a smack to all the players who laid the groundwork for him to even be blessed with the opportunity to play a game. How many mental errors will it take before he gets it through his head? How many times does he have to say he thought there were two outs when there was only one? What else should he have been thinking about? Respect your teammates. Respect your manager. And respect the game itself. Grow up and do the things you've been asked to do since little league.
